Introducing social ancestry for South Asians

For people whose family come from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, or Nepal tracing family history can be almost impossible. Births, deaths, and marriages aren't recorded the way they are in the West. So, for anyone who's lost touch with their kin or their best friend finding them again is not an easy task. That's why we've created whostheDaadi.com - we offer free family tree building tools to help you find lost loved ones.

whostheDaadi.com is a wiki of family history - kind of like Facebook, kind of like ancestry.com... This is how it works: All you have to do is upload the things you know about your family, along with dates, names, and places. There is space to add photographs and memories. You will be able to record your parents and grandparent's stories and upload them for everyone to share. Search for street names, people, and find out what was going on at specific times. Link up with friends and family, find the people you grew up, or simply map out your history.
